Flex Subscriptions is a public app built for the Shopify platform that enables merchants to create and manage recurring product subscriptions, including flexible billing intervals, subscription plans, and subscription-based order management.
Flex Subscriptions allows merchants to:
Create recurring subscription plans for products
Offer flexible billing intervals (e.g., weekly, monthly, custom intervals)
Manage subscription contracts
Enable customers to manage their subscriptions
Process recurring payments through Shopify’s subscription APIs
The App operates entirely within Shopify’s platform and approved APIs.
To provide our services, we store and process limited merchant and store-related information, including:
Store domain (shop identifier)
Shopify plan tier (for feature eligibility)
App installation status
App subscription and billing identifiers
Store owner name
Store owner contact email address
We use this information only to:
Enable or restrict features based on Shopify plan eligibility
Manage app billing and subscription status
Provide merchant support
Maintain service functionality and account management
We do not use merchant information for advertising or marketing purposes.
To provide recurring subscription functionality, we process:

All subscription billing and payment processing is handled through Shopify’s secure infrastructure. We do not directly process or store full payment card information.
We store only the operational data required to maintain subscription functionality, such as:

Subscription contract references
App billing records
Customer personal data is retained only as necessary to support active subscriptions and related order processing.
If the App is uninstalled:
Subscription functionality is disabled
Access to merchant data is removed according to Shopify’s data retention requirements
Data is deleted or anonymized within a reasonable period unless legally required otherwise
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data.
We do not share customer personal data with third parties except as necessary to operate the App within Shopify’s ecosystem.

The App operates under permissions granted by merchants through Shopify.

Because subscription data is tied to Shopify’s systems, merchants remain responsible for responding to customer privacy requests.
Merchants are responsible for:
Clearly disclosing subscription terms to customers
Providing required cancellation and renewal disclosures
Complying with applicable subscription, consumer protection, tax, and e-commerce laws
Managing customer data in compliance with applicable privacy regulations
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
Continued use of the App after changes indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
